What gets you excited? Your favorite tv show’s series finale, how about a new video game coming out? What about someone stealing from you, o hurting a family member? These are all things we get excited about, but they come in two different ways. Today we continue to look at John chapter 2 as we look at what does Jesus get excited or passionate about.

When you think of Jesus, what do you think of? Few of us would think of Him as we see Him in chapter two, yet there He is attending a wedding and a party. Jesus at a party?? Hmm, maybe we need to rely more on what His Word says and less on our preconceived notions of Him.

What better place to start a journey than at the beginning? At the beginning of everything is some form of change. In the beginning it was a change from nothing and chaos into everything and order. In our lives it is a change from hopelessness and lack of purpose to showing His love wherever we go. Enjoy, don’t forget to leave some comments.

Today we begin a journey through the book of John. We’re not doing it at church, just here, wherever you are right now. Each day we’ll post a page that you can print and work though. The goal is to work through the book of John and learn a few things about God along the way. i would suggest you work through each day’s study with a partner, someone you know and trust. Today is just an intro, but I think it puts us into the correct mindset for much more. Leave comments/questions below.

Crossover Packing List

Hello everyone! Getting excited about the Orlando Mission Trip yet?
Its coming up soon!

Here is a list of things you must bring on the trip:
-Bible
-A notebook and a pen
-Clothes (its going to be hot, so pack appropriate clothing; but be sure that the clothes you bring are CHURCH APPROPRIATE!)
-Swim Suit (again, be sure that the Swim Suit is modest and doesn’t reveal anything)
-Toiletries (this includes deodorant, toothbrush/paste, shampoo, etc)
-Tennis Shoes (we will be walking a lot on this trip, so bring some comfortable shoes to walk in!)
-Personal Spending Money
-Sack Lunch and drink for the trip
-IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID RODNEY THE $150 FOR THE TRIP, THEN BRING THE MONEY ON THE DAY OF THE TRIP SO THAT YOU CAN PAY HIM

Also, make sure to pack lightly. Do not bring your entire wardrobe. Do not bring your rock collection.

Crossover Basic Info and Flyer

Crossover Orlando is a massive ministry evangelism initiative of the Southern Baptist Convention. Thousands of Southern Baptists will be converging on Orlando to reach out and share the love of Christ and the Gospel with everyone we meet. dv8 students will be joining Crossover this year. We’ll be helping with Backyard Bible Clubs, Block Parties, Door to Door sharing, prayer walking, and pretty much anything else we’re asked to do. We’ll also be visiting the Holy Land Experience and Disney while we are there. Below you can find some basic info and download they flyer. Permission slip and more detailed info will follow later.

dv8 mystery machine kicks back into gear this week at 8teen:twenty. What’s the clues, what are we looking for? You’ll have to show up to get clue one and somewhere on this site is the opportunity to get a bonus clue. The answer for the bonus clue should be written down and delivered to Pastor Rodney by 6:30pm Wednesday night.

It’s that time of year. Time for our annual winter lock-in. This year’s theme is called Unitid and we’ll be looking at unity through your individual identity.
